Abstract Oil Paintings

In this series of abstract paintings, I create surfaces that feel both physical and intuitive, building each work through generous layers of oil paint. Moving between palette knife and brush, I respond immediately to the paint as it shifts, accumulates, and reveals new possibilities. Oil paint offers a liberating range of movement and depth; with each layer of luscious pigment, texture gathers, color deepens, and the image slowly comes into being over weeks, months, or even years. Fleeting encounters with nature, fragments of thought and imagination, and my direct response to the surface all become part of my process in creating these evolving works.
